PURPOSE:To stop the processor operation at the abnormality time, by generating a timer set pulse in accordance with the operation period of a processor and by resetting the processor to perform self-diagnosis by generating a pulse if the next timer set pulse is not generated at a prescribed time after receiving the timer set pulse. CONSTITUTION:The analogue signal from a process is converted to a digital signal by a input part interface circuit 1 and is stored in a storage device 2 through a microprocessor 3. A timer set pulse is generated in accordance with the operation period by this processor 3 and is inserted to the last of the program repeated at a prescribed period. If the next pulse is not outputted at a prescribed time after receiving this pulse, an output signal is generated in a output part interface circuit 4 to operate a timer circuit 6, and the reset switch 5 connected to the processor 3 is closed by the output of the timer circuit 6 to perform self-diagnosis, and the operation of the processor 3 is stopped at the abnormality time. |
