PURPOSE:To obtain an image pattern good of compatibility with an IC technology in a complete solid state to be driven at a low voltage, by heating a thermoelectric element or the like in accordance with a record to induce a high voltage in a pyroelectric film, electrifing a recording sheet to form an electrically latent image, and developing the image. CONSTITUTION:A pulse current is applied between input terminals 4, 5, to heat a thermoelectric element or a resistance heater 2 on a substrate board 3. At this time, a heat pulse is charged to the pyroelectric film 1 to generate a pulse charge derived from the pyroelectric effect on a detector electrode 6. Consequently, a high voltage is induced at the top end of an electric conductive needle electrode 7 led out of the electrode 6. An electrostatic recording sheet is brough in contact with the top end of the needle electrode 7, so that the electric charge is transferred onto the record sheet to form an electrically charged latent image. Thereafter, an electrically charged toner is sprayed onto the record sheet, and the image is developed. EFFECT:High speed recording is possible. The method is applicable for recording by a high speed device such as facsimile or the like. Besides, a record having a good resolution of 5 lines/mm. or more can be also obtained. |
