PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device capable of directly performing automatic recording control from the side of a receiver of a broadcasted program to an external video recorder and shortening time to be required for specification of a remote control code capable of controlling a type of a device to be controlled. SOLUTION: A signal in which program information on a channel selected by a tuner 2 is included is inputted in a video and audio signal processing circuit 3, an extracted video signal is outputted via a display circuit 4, an extracted audio signal is outputted via a DA converter 5 for audio signal and the signals are inputted in the external video recorder. To the external video recorder, start/end of the automatic recording is controlled by reading content of a code ROM 17 in which a control code is stored at specified time, encoding it by an encoding part 12, controlling a frequency divider circuit 11 to show specified frequency, modulating carrier frequency of an oscillation circuit 10 by a modulation circuit 13, driving an infrared ray radiation part 14 and transmitting it as an infrared ray code. |
