PURPOSE:To prevent heat deformation etc during engine operation and suppress the manufacturing cost by making the scavenging port of a cylinder through castout method and fitting with pressure a reinforcing ring concentrical with the cylinder, into the skirt part of the cylinder below said scavenging port. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder body 1 is provided with a scavenging port 20 and an exhaust port 4, and the skirt parts 7, 8 are cut at the part below the scavenging port 20, whose lower part is configured open. A reinforcing ring 21, concentrical with the cylinder's internal surface 1a, is fitted into the skirt parts 7, 8 below the scavenging port 20 in the uppermost possible position within an extent in which scavenging is not hindered, by means of reverse chill, pressure fitting etc. so as to prevent deformation owing to gas pressure, heat deformation of the cylinder, etc. Further, because the underside of the scavenging port 20 is configured open, a high accuracy cylinder can be made with low manufacturing cost. |
