Heat energy prodn. by burning limestone - esp. to carbide and adding water, esp. as waste water

Heat energy is made available as a combustible gas by the large scale burning of natural limestone at or near the place required, and adding water. H2 is generated and forms an energy carrier having a high calorific value. The limestone is burnt esp. to carbide, using already existing heat-efficient plant, e.g. metallurgical plant. Part of the combustion gases recovered can be used for limestone burning. The water used for gas generation can be waste water. Limestone is widely available. The energy-carrier is non- polluting and safe.
