<p>A small battery-powered measurement device with a digital display, esp. a temp. measurement device, has protection against being allowed to fall from a pocket, is economical to make, and reliable in operation. It has a removable battery pack holder (17-20) with a dip projecting over the housing (2,3) for fixing the device. When the battery holder is inserted in the device (1) it presses against the printed circuit board and holds it against one or more bearing surfaces of the housing. The holder contains several batteries or cells (12). The innermost battery is held in contact with a section of conducting track on the printed circuit board. The outermost battery is in contact with an element forming part of the holder. The clip and holder are integral.</p> |
