Fluid cooling and partial evaporation equipment - has vessel connected by compressor to separately cooled condenser

The equipment cools and at the same time partly evaporates a fluid by direct heat-exchange. It is used esp. for refrigeration or sea-water de-salinisation, and has a vacuum vessel into which the fluid is delivered. An evaporator vessel (2) partly evaporates the fluid (P), and by the heat extraction necessary to do this cools the rest of the fluid (Pr). It is connected by a compressor (5) to a condenser (3) precipitating the vapour (D), the condesner being cooled by a medium in a secondary circuit (K). The vessel can form the bottom part and the condenser the top part of a housing (1), the compressor being mounted in the latter.
