PURPOSE:To offer gasket with high sealing performance by laminating sheets made of 40-80% Barmicurite sheets, 1-30% fiber material, 5-40% fine-particle filler, some binder and bridging agent, over a metal sheet provided with projections. CONSTITUTION:On both sides of a reinforcing metal sheet 2 provided with projections in the form of a triangle nail, are laminated sheets 1 made of 40-80wt% Barmicurite scaled sheets, expansion treated, 1-30wt% fiber material, 5-40wt% fine-particle filler, some binder and bridging agent, to form gasket for cylinder head. Owing to the composition abovementioned, this gasket maintains its strength and elasticity even in the high temp. service range as well as cavities in the gasket material as a complex body can be held in the minimum, so that the sealing performance when applied to the cylinder head of an internal engine will be enhanced. |
