PURPOSE:To mount a packing without damaging it by a method wherein lubricating sheets are put between the packing and a circular long body, and the packing is fitted on an outer circumference of the circular long body, drawing the sheets. CONSTITUTION:When a sleeve-shaped packing 1 is installed from the end section side of a cable 2, a plurality of lubricating sheets 3 covering the whole circumference of the cable 2 are passed in the packing 1, and the one sections are projected outward. An end section of the cable 2 as a long body is contacted, and the lubricating sheets 3 are drawn in the longitudinal direction of the cable 2. The inner surfaces of the lubricating sheets 3 function as lubricating surfaces, and slide on the surface of the cable 2, and the packing 1 can be fitted onto the cable 2. In this case, the packing 1 is pressed down from the outer circumference lest it should slip off from the lubricating sheets 1, and moved together with the lubricating sheets 3. |
