PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fog and to stabilize the processing by adding a shelating agent having 2 N atoms alone as coordinating atoms to an intensifier contg. a cobalt (III) complex-peroxide as an oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:To an intensifier contg. a cobalt (III) complex-peroxide as an oxidizing agent, a coupler and a reducing agent for forming a dye image is added a bidentate ligand type chelating agent represented by general formula (I) (where each of R1-4 is H or alkyl, R1-4 may bond to each other to form optionally alkyl- substituted alkylene and Z is optionally alkyl-substituted alkylene) or by formula II or III (where each of R1-8 is H or alkyl and R1'8 may bond to each other to form an optionally alkyl-substituted alkylene). |
