Wind deflectors for tilt-up roofs of motor vehicles, which have a roof opening which can be closed by means of a removable cover and is surrounded by a roof frame. The wind deflector is articulated in the region of the front edge of the roof opening such that it can pivot about a transversely running shaft. It is preloaded in the tilt-up direction by means of a spring and, with the lid in the closed position, is held down counter to spring force. <IMAGE>
