The draught excluder strip for a car side window has a transparent plastic strip (1) to cover the gap when the car window is slightly opened. A clamping strip (8) in the front, bottom corner of the window has a groove (9) outside the window frame to locate the edge of the strip, while the rear edge of the strip is secured to the rear edge of the window frame by a simple clamp plate. The fitting does not encroach on the window slides (4) and allows unimpeded window action. The strip edge is shaped to hold the main part of the strip away from the window, for ventilation flow. The clamping strip at the bottom of the window can be the conventional chromed triangle of trim.
|
