The converter of fluid energy into electrical energy consists of a wind-power machine with bulbs of vertical axis coupled directly to the input shaft of an electrical-current generator of low rotational speed. To allow the generator to start up at a low wind speed in spite of a high resistant torque, the power curve of the generator is adjusted to that of the receiver shaft of the wind-power machine by means of a load resistor varying either progressively or in successive steps from the moment when the starting torque is obtained until maximum power is reached. The load is fed by means of a detector of the variation of the output voltage of the generator acting on an electronic or electromechanical power-variation control means.

|
