<p>Disclosed is a method for the preparation of a stable solution of aluminium citrate. The method involves combining a solution of aluminium chloride with a solution of citric acid while maintaining vigorous agitation. After formation of the aluminium citrate solution, sufficient alkali metal or ammonium hydroxide is added to increase the pH to a level of 5.0 to 7.0. During addition of the base, the agitation is continued and the temperature of the solution is maintained at a level of from 0 DEG to 90 DEG C.</p> |
