PURPOSE:To eliminate the overlapping of control data on data lines and to eliminate queuing by transmitting at least one kind of plural kinds of the control data which are transmitted and received between channels and an input-output control device by different sets of the data lines. CONSTITUTION:An input-output control device IOC sends an IOC request signal (a) to a channel. When the channel transmits a CH connection permission signal (b) to a control line, said IOC sends an IOC flag 19 to an input data line 16. When the channel receives the IOC flag 19, it sends a selection flag 20 to one unit of IOC via an input data line 15. The IOC having detected the flag 20 sends a CH-IOC connection signal (d) to the channel which in turn resets the CH connection permission signal (b). When the IOC detects a reset, it sends an IOD number 21 to an input data line 18 and the channel receives this. Since the IOC flag 19 and the IOD number 21 are transmitted through different data lines, overlapping of both does not occur despite taking a time until the nonselected IOC resets the IOC flag. |
