Compensating screen for exposure to radiation e.g. X=ray - has radiation compensating filtering layer and refractive index compensating layer

摘要

A compensating screen for exposure to radiation comprises a radiation-compensating filtering layer (I) and a refractive index (R.I) compensating layer (II). Layer (I) comprises a material capable of absorbing a radiation and transmitting visible rays and its thickness varies according to radiation compensation diagram. Layer (II) has an R.I. approximating that of layer (I), can easily transmit radiation and visible rays and is shaped so as to fill in the gaps in layer (I) and give a compensating screen of overall uniform thickness. The screen is used for exposing an object or for taking a photograph of an object by exposure to a radiation esp. X-ray. It prevents redn. in image visibility caused by differences in refractive index.
