PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery suited for reducing size, weight and thickness and contributable for improving productivity and electrical characteristics. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte battery comprises a positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 3 disposed through a separator 4 wherein a generation element consisting of the positive electrode 2, the negative electrode 3 and the separator 4 is accommodated in a battery jar that is die-cast withthinner, aluminum or an aluminium alloy 0.5 mm thick or thinner. Thereby size, weight and thickness can be reduced, dimension accuracy when working can be improved, distortion by residual stress can be reduced and smoothness of wall surface can be smoothed, assembling troubles in battery jar made by drawing can be dissolved, and the productivity of a battery can be improved.
