PURPOSE:To separate aluminum with a high yield ratio, by suspending a mixture of metallic aluminum powder and diamagnetic material powder in water, and introducing the aqueous suspension into a high magnetic power separator packed with ferromagnetic fine wires in a magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:The mixture of metallic aluminum powder and diamagnetic material powder is suspended in water. The aqueous suspension is supplied at a running speed of 200m/hr or less into a high magnetic power separator having 15,000 oersted or more of an air-core magnetic field and packed with matrix elements in the air-core magnetic field. The aluminum powder is caught by the matrix elements and magnetized, while the substances other than aluminum flow out as unmagnetized materials with the water. |
