A day disc cooperates with a store (15) of mechanical energy via a maltese-cross wheel mechanism. The maltese cross (11) of said wheel mechanism is rigidly connected to the day disc and lies coaxially thereto. A pin (10) for driving the maltese cross (11) is seated on a dented wheel (4), having a cutout, of the store member (15). Also located in the store (15) is a switching disc (6) which carries a switching finger (7) for switching over a toothed date ring (8). The concave cutouts of the maltese cross (11) cooperate with the switching disc (6). There is furthermore provided a free, two-armed lever (16) which is designed in such a manner that one arm (14) thereof secures the date ring (8) and the other arm (13) thereof slides on the circumferential surface of the maltese cross (11). With such a design of the calendar mechanism the clock/watchwork is relieved of load, the operability of the clock/watch being improved at the same time. <IMAGE> |
