PURPOSE:To discriminate whether the omission of printing data is caused by masking, by printing a part not masked by mask data using the first color and developing the mask data on predetermined pattern data to perform printing using the second color. CONSTITUTION:It is investigated whether the printing data or mask data corresponding to one page is stored in both of a page buffer 3 and a mask buffer 4 and the printing data is read from the page buffer 3. The mask data of the mask buffer 4 is read and, when the printing data of the page buffer 3 does not correspond to a mask region, the printing data from the page buffer 3 is developed on a font memory 5 as a pattern and converted to serial data using a parallel/serial converter 9. When there is the mask data to the page ready to print presently, a specific pattern memory 7 is referred to develop the mask data of the mask buffer 4 on specific pattern data as a pattern. |
