<p>The machine sorts postal packets and comprises a number of belts forming several different levels, each being superimposed one above the other to reduce floor space and increase capacity. The belts for each level (1,2) are in the same plane, at 90 deg. to each other, forming coordinates. Crossings are formed at the intersections, those for each level being directly above one another. A lift (3) is provided for each crossing, moving in guides (4) between the several levels and taking packets up or down to a different level. These lifts can equally be positioned at the ends of the belts to avoid interference.</p> |
