A pipe end fitting includes a threaded cap 34 which fits over a tube 42 which has a stepped interior so that it is a sliding fit on pipes of different diameters. This allows a single fitting to be used to cap pipes of several different diameters. The cap may include an O-ring to provide a seal. The fitting is intended for use as an inspection fitting in rainwater collection systems. A filter is included in the end fitting.
