PURPOSE:To improve a measurement precision of a device, by a method wherein a moving body is brought into elastic contact with four faces of a measuring lever, and with this the movement distance of the moving body is converted into a turning amount of a length measuring roller. CONSTITUTION:A measuring lever 1 is installed on an upper and a lower surface, and a length measuring roller mechanism and a guide roller mechanism are mounted on both side surfaces. Additionally, an auxiliary roller is pressed against three surfaces of the measuring lever 1. The length measuring roller is held in strong contact with one of the surfaces, and the turning amount of the length measuring roller is converted into a pulse signal. The length measuring roller moves over the measuring lever 1 in a smooth manner without slippage, and moves in the direction of a straight line. This enables a reliable measurement of a movement distance. |
