PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil with a slider, the assembling process of which is simplified. SOLUTION: In a connector 2, a lead delivering mechanism consisting of a chuck 5, a clamping ring 6, a spring 8, a lead tank 4 or the like is assembled. Further, a slider 14 is assembled in the tip of this connector 2 axially and slidably. By inserting the connector 2, to which the slider is mounted, from the back of a shaft tube 1, the connector 2 is fixed in such a manner that the slider is projected beyond the tip of the shaft tube 1.
