1483659 Thermoplastic compositions NYNAS-PETROLEUM AB 23 Dec 1974 [28 Dec 1973] 55519/74 Heading C3P A thermoplastic composition comprises:- (a) 10-80% by weight of an oxidatively polymerized extract from mineral oils which is solid at room temperature and contains not more than 10 atomic per cent of atoms other than C and H, the oxidatively polymerized extract having a content of aromatic carbon of at least 35% (based on total carbon content), and a softening point (Ring and Ball) of at least 80‹ C.; (b) 10-89À5% by weight of a primary plasticizer; and (c) 0À5-60% by weight of a vinyl chloride polymer. The composition may include a tackreducer for (a) and/or a filler. The plasticizer may be a phthalate (e.g. dioctyl phthalate), phosphate, terephthalate or naphthenic acid nitrile. A Ba-Cd stabilizing agent may also be present. |
