PURPOSE:To minimize the scale and initialization time of a delay circuir by initializing the whole of delay circuits only by initializing the 1st-stage and one-bit delay circuit having an initializing function. CONSTITUTION:A one-bit delay circuit having an initializing function and one-bit delay circuirs 102-104 having no initializing function are cascaded to form a four- bit delay circuit. Delay circuit 101 is initialized with clock inputs 1 and 2 and initializing control signal 4. Simultaneously, the whole of the delay circuits is placed in a racing state by using clocks 1 and 2 and the output signal of delay circuit 101 is propagated through delay circuits 102-104 one after another, initializing the whole of the delay circuits. Next, while the initializing control signal is reset, a normal clock signal is only inputted, performing normal delay circuit operation. Thus, the scale of the delay circuits and the initialization time are minimized. |
