PURPOSE:To improve rotating phase detecting information and reduce space by providing the part to be detected consisting of plural through-holes in the end part of a drumlike photoreceptor, and disposing a luminous body and a photodetector in correspondence to these. CONSTITUTION:Both end parts of a drumlike photoreceptor 6 are supported to shafts 4, 10 by way of flanges 7, 9a, and are driven by a gear 5. Plural through- holes 8 having predetermined intervals are provided in the end part 6a which is the part unnecessary for copying process of the photoreceptor 6, and a luminous body 13 is disposed on the inner side and a photodetector 14 on the outer side in correspondence to these. This makes it possible to detect the rotating phase of the photoreceptor 6 by receiving the light of the luminous body 13 in the photodetector 14 through the through-holes 8 and converting the same to an electric signal and to control the timing of the copying process, thereby making it possible to detect always correct phases in the long use, to reduce space and to miniaturize the entire part of the copying machine. |
