Method and arrangement for harvesting cones from trees, especially pine and spruce, in connection with logging. After the tree has been felled, it is placed in a drum- shaped cone-stripping arrangement 6, the tree trunk 4 essentially coinciding with the axis of the drum and the drum covering a part of the crown of the tree. The crown is then drawn through the drum by means of the feed rollers 5 of the logger. The inside of the drum is provided with rows of bars or pins 18 which then make contact with the branches so that the cones growing on the branches are stripped off. The stripped cones are collected in a container 19 below the drum. <IMAGE> |
