PURPOSE:To obtain a compact twisting machine having large twisting angle by arranging a stationary coil and a movable coil mounted on a rotary shaft in a ring- shaped cavity, disposing an idling coil through an elastic material between the stationary coil and the movable coil, and generating an attracting force at the time of energizing the coils, thereby rotating the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A stationary coil 5 and a movable coil 4 are arranged in a ring- shaped cavity of a casing 1, the coil 5 is secured through a spacer 6 to a casing 1, and the coil 4 is mounted on a rotary shaft 3 provided at the center of the casing 1. A plurality of idling coils 7 having hollow parts and an arcuate shaft 9 made of ferromagnetic material are disposed through nonstretchable compression elastic unit 10 between the coil 5 and the coil 4. When all the coils 4, 5, 7 are energized in this state, the respective coils generate attracting forces and thus move toward the coil 5 side, and the shaft 3 can be rotated upon movement of the coil 4. |
