PURPOSE:To facilitate path management and to simplify determination of a by- pass for the line fault and to simplify generation, by using the node vector, which is changed momently in accordance with the line state, to determine an optimum path. CONSTITUTION:When a communication is requested, it is checked whether the communication through a normal path is requested or the communication through a optimum path is requested. If the communication through a normal path is requested, a node row is taken out from the node row pointer existing already, and it is checked whether data can reach the object node through this node or not. If data can reach the object node through it, the path state is checked to check whether communication is possible or not; and if possible, communication is started. If the communication through an optimum path is requested, a node row pointer is generated newly if data cannot reach the object node or communication is impossible, and an optimum path is obtained on a basis of this node row pointer to start communication. |
