METHOD FOR ESTABLISHING GALVANIC BONDS BETWEEN AN INSULATED WORKPIECE AND WELDING ELECTRODES ELECTRODE ARRANGEMENT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION AND UTILIZATION THEREOF

Use of loop electrodes with input and output of current to and from the working area where a heating current is supplied before the welding operation to remove the insulation. The requirements in such devices regarding the straight sections of the current passage differ according to weither it is heating or welding. Whereas for a sufficient heating a decrease of the straight section is necessary, such a decrease is undesirable for the welding. To meet these contradictory requirements, there is proposed an electrode with input of heating current (25a) and output of current (25b) relative to the working area, these two conductors having the same potential during welding.
