<p>The security device with a built in alarm bell is designed for use with items such as clothes that are mounted on hangers. Any attempt to remove the hanger triggers the alarm. The alarm unit is of a two part construction (1,6) with one part secured by a clamp (10) to the hanger. The other half has a 'U'-shaped slot that locates on the hanger and has a spring retaining clip (4). Within the fixed half of the housing there is mounted a bell (9). The striker (2) is located with the top half and is capable of movement within a slot (7) in the fixed half. The unit may be removed by pulling the top half clear of the hanger. In doing so the striker hits the bell to generate an alarm signal.</p> |
