<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the strength in a desired direction, by inserting a reinforcing fiber between two upper and lower layers each composed of a membrane like thermoplastic resin in a freely oriented state to impregnate the same with said resin. CONSTITUTION:40-30pts. of a solvent 3 is added to 60-70pts. of an ABS resin 1' to form an ABS resin solution 1' which is, in turn, degassed to be applied to a mold 4, whose surface is preliminarily coated with a release material, in a membrane form by a roller or brush. Next, carbon fibers 2 are arranged to the coating layer of the ABS resin solution 1' in a freely oriented state. Then, the degassed ABS resin solution 1' is applied to the carbon fibers 2... from above in a membrane form by the roller or brush to cover the upper surface of the layer composed of the carbon fibers 2... and these upper and lower ABS resin solutions 1', 1' are naturally or forcibly dried to obtain a thin plate-shaped molding material A. By this method, the thin plate-shaped molding material obtaining the strength in a desired direction and excellent in heat-deformable processability can be obtained.</p> |
