Electric railway current rail support mounting - uses C=shaped clamps sliding along rail attaching it to support head

The support mounting has a support head (2) with clamps (3) for retaining the bearing surface of the current rail (4). At least one clamp (3) has a C-shaped cross-section and can slide along a side flank (6) of the support head (2) and along the foot of the current rail (4) along the length of the latter. Pref. the clamp (3) is held in place by a spring clamp clip (7) with a spring hoop fitting into a slot in the outer surface of the clamp (3). The support head (2) is pref. formed as an insulator attached to a current rail strut (1) and having a bellows supporting a bearing face (5) and two side flanks to which the foot of the current rail (4) is attached via the C-shaped clamps. The support head (2) is of simplified construction.
