PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission device which can limit the amount of data to be sent. SOLUTION: The data transmission device 1 stores content information in hierarchical structure. When requests to send specific data in content information are received from communication devices 2, 2... the data transmission device 1 compares the amounts of data regarding the received requests with the limit value of the amount of data to be sent which is described in a limit-value setting file LF and then sends not the data regarding the requests, but data in a layer below the data to the communication devices 2, 2... when the amounts of data regarding the requests are larger.
