BRAKE CABLE CONNECTOR FOR DRUM BRAKE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake cable connector for a drum brake that is easily workable and dispenses with an extra push on a cable end from a latched position. SOLUTION: A brake lever 120 for expanding brake shoes 1 and 2 has at a free end a cable end insertion groove 120a, and a guide member 150 is arranged in the insertion groove 120a. The guide member 150 is urged by a coil spring 160 to the bottom of the cable end insertion groove 120a. When a cable end 142 is inserted from between the bottom of the cable end insertion groove 120a and a guiding slant face 151a of the guide member 150, the guide member 150 is displaced away from the bottom of the insertion groove 120a to allow a passage of the cable end 142, and just after the passage of the cable end 142, is lowered to latch the rear end face of the cable end 142 and prevent dislodgment.
