<p>Device for the spontaneous limitation of the ascensional speed during re-ascension of divers provided with a life jacket inflated with air. Its purpose is to make sure that diver will not come up with too high a speed causing body lesions in case of distress and nitrogen narcosis. This is achieved according to the invention by a resiliently movable sealing partition (7 resp. 17), subdividing a chamber (1) communicating with the inside (3) of the life jacket. Said partition is connected with a portion of the closing valve (12), sealingly sliding on the outside and of which the seat is arranged in the outer wall (4) of the life jacket. The sections of the chamber (18, 19) formed by the partition (7 resp. 17) communicate with each other by a metering nozzle (11 resp. 23) and by a valve opening in the direction of the separated chamber section (18). Thereby, the ascensional force of the life jacket decreases independently of the diver during an excessively fast re-ascension and hence the ascensional speed is reduced in an extent which is compatible with the body. </p> |
