Fold-away spoiler for motor cars - forms part of vehicle rear wall when in retracted and folded position

The vehicle has a fold away rear spoiler (13) made of polyurethane foam. When it is folded away the spoiler forms part of the shape of the vehicle rear wall. A manually or automatically operated electric motor turns an 'L' shaped lever (15). It is connected to a system of belt drives connected to the spoiler (13) at the upper end of the lever (15) so that when the lever is swung outwards the spoiler swings through nearly 360 degrees into its operational position lying against a support shoulder (19) on the lever (15).
