The torch comprises at least one accumulator, a switch, an incandescent lamp with a reflector, in addition to a charge circuit. A housing retains electric connectors and has a cover cap for the light-emitting end. The housing (2) is cylindrical and has a secondary coil (10), forming part of the charge circuit. in the closed end away from the cover cap (3). Preferably the secondary coil is cylindrical and of a height, equalling that of a primary coil in the charge circuit. The latter may be enclosed in a pot-shaped unit, on which may be formed a standard plug connector. The housing may contain a cylindrical accumulator support (7), whose lamp facing end may be closed by a transverse partition (12) with integrated socket and terminals for the incandescent lamp (16).
