The mobile or other toy which is to be fixed to the cot or cradle is secured by retaining elements (2) which fit onto the longitudinal edges of the side parts of the cot. Each comprise two flanged wheels (5,6) which lie flush with each other in the longitudinal direction where they sit on the longitudinal edges (7) of the cot sides (1). At least one wheel can be secured in position by clamping on the side and to this end pref. comprises two separate parts which can be axially displaced to alter the gauge and then clamped to lock the cot side between the two flanges. The toy can now be moved along the edge of the cot side down to the bottom when the child is sleeping.
