PURPOSE:To prevent cold offset with low energy, by allowing a flash lamp arranged in front of a heat melting roller to flash just before stopping a copying paper. CONSTITUTION:Flash lamp 7 having reflective plate 8 is arranged in front of heat melting roller 5. Preheating plate 4 and pressing roller 6 are withdrawn in stopping copying paper 1. Paper 1 bearing toner image 2 is heated with heating plate 4, and then toner image 2 is heat fixed to paper 1 with rollers 5, 6. In the normal operation, lamp 7 is not allowed to emit a light. In stopping paper 1, after a proper time from production of a stop signal, lamp 7 is allowed to flash, and plate 4 and roller 6 are withdrawn. Toner image 2 is melted to such a degree to prevent cold offset, thus permitting the cold offset to be prevented using a small power supply. |
