The plungers are actuated by a number of keys (6) pivoting round an axis (5), any one key allocated to a combination of plungers for one chord, preferably a single key-operated plunger per chord. The device can slide along the guitar neck (2) along axis (7), with a clamp bar run across the strings (1). The plungers for the strings are arranged around three neck frets (9), each plunger set on the end of a tensioned elastic wire which in turn is bent at one end with a fitted pressure piece. The keys (6) stand parallel and spaced from the wires, using interposed key-operated pressure cams (14) complete with pressdown tooth on the string side. The exchangeable cams turn round a common pin axis.
