A side channel pump (1) has guides (17), for the radial and/or axial guidance of the turbine (4), arranged in the radially external region thereof. The guides (17) comprise guide surfaces (18, 19) arranged on the turbine (4) at a given angle to the front face thereof. According to the invention, frictional losses in the side channel pump (1) are thus kept particularly low.
