PURPOSE:To improve the antenna irradiation efficiency, by forming the reflection face of the subreflection mirror into a conical face having the angle of a proper spread so that the reflected wave from the subreflection mirror is irradiated onto a specific part on the main reflection mirror emphatically. CONSTITUTION:The subreflection mirror consists of two concentric conical reflective faces 5 and 6 having the same angle of spread, and the radiation pattern of the primary radiator has a ring beam, and the direction of the beam is changed by the angle of spread of the subreflection mirror. The angle of spread of the subreflection mirror is determined in consideration of the refractive index of the radio wave on the boundary face of dielectric wave director 3 and the antenna aperture angle so that the radio wave radiated from the primary horn through dielectric wave director 3 is only reflected by the reflective face of the subreflection mirror and is irradiated onto the main reflection mirror most effectively. |
