PURPOSE:To obtain copies rapidly from multiple sheets of originals by getting ready to prepare for copying by detecting the operator's will for copying and getting ready to form copies by the copying command signal. CONSTITUTION:The operator's will for copying can be detected from various things, such as when the operator touches part of a copying machine 16, when the opens an original cover 17, when he places the original on an original platen glass, when he closes the cover 17, when he presses set button 18 for plural sheets, when he presses a button 19 for changing copying sizes, or when he exchanges a cassette 20. These movements of the operator are detected by microswitches, Hall elements, optical detecting switches and various buttons and dials, by which the copying machine is put into the position ready to prepare for copying. For example, the time for preparation for copying is saved by such things as so arranging the heater of a fixing device that it is switched on by the above-mentioned detection. |
