PURPOSE:To rapidly and accurately control the amt. of a flocculant to be injected and to stably carry out flocculation at all times by controlling the amt. of the flocculant to be injected based on the calculated value obtained by comparing the target number of flocs based on the suspended matter concn. in the inflowing liq. and the number of flocs recognized by an image recognizing means. CONSTITUTION:The suspended matter concn. in the inflowing liq. is detected, and the target number of flocs is calculated based on the detection value. Meanwhile, the condition of the flocs in the flocculation tank is photographed, the luminance level of the image signal is binarized to recognize the image, and the number of flocs is calculated. The target number of flocs and the calculated number of flocs are compared to control the amt. of the flocculant to be injected. As a result, only the number of flocs is sampled instead of the shapes of the flocs, the number can be sequentially measured, the amt. of the flocculant to be injected can be rapidly and accurately controlled, and stable flocculation can be maintained. |
