A folding wall is made up of modules and consists essentially of two rows of panels 1 which can be folded in a zig-zag manner by means of hinges. At least two opposite panels in the rows are rotatably connected by means of a coupling piece 4 which has two support elements 13 with a mutual spacing, while two sheets 11 of resilient material, which can slide between the two support elements 13, are fastened individually to the internal side of a panel. The resilient sheets 11 can bring about an inwardly directed force on the panels when the wall is pulled out, so that the panels are in this way moved into a parallel position. An arm 15 is connected to the coupling piece 4 by means of a hinge 16 a distance from the support elements 13 in such a manner that it can, when the wall is folded, exert a pressure on the free ends of the resilient sheets 11 and in this way bring about an outwardly directed force on the associated panels 1, in such a manner that the zig-zag folding of the wall is made easier. <IMAGE>
