PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To subminiaturize the portable telephone set by substituting a function for push buttons with a rotary dial board and one dial setting switch so as to eliminate the need for the push buttons and to considerably miniaturize the dimension of a dial ten-key section. SOLUTION: While identifying a prescribed position of a dial board 1 with a dial number display window 3, the circumferential part of a rotary dial board 1 is rotated around a center pin 2 with a thumb to select a dial number. Depressing a dial setting push-button switch 4 enters and sets the selected dial number. Thus, the operation of selecting a dial number each digit by using the dial board 1 and depressing the switch 4 is repeated, so as to set a prescribed dial number and the result is displayed on a display section 5. Thus, the surface area and the mount volume of the dial ten-key part can considerably be reduced and enables operation with a thumb, and handleability is improved. |
