PURPOSE:To prevent the spalling of scales, and to easily remove the lubricant remaining upon the sheet surface after the rolling work, by cold rolling the hot rolled black steel sheet with the use of an aqueous suspension containing an alkaline soap as the lubricant. CONSTITUTION:At cold rolling a hot rolled steel sheet coated by black scales as it is, the cold rolling work is proceeded under the supply of an aqueous suspension containing an alkaline soap as the effective constituent. The alkaline soap is dissolved in hot water at 50-70 deg.C which thereupon forms a semitransparent suspension that is to be supplied as said lubricant. |
