PURPOSE:Cells of a microorganism, a purified enzyme or a crude enzyme extract from an animal organ, which is capable of hydrolyzing an acylpolyamine, is made to act on an acylpolyamine, thus determining the titled substance in the sample from an organism through simple operations. CONSTITUTION:Cells of a microorganisms in Streptomyces, Escerishia or Monascus such as of Streptomyces avellaneus R-20, which is capable of hydrolyzing an acylpolyamine, a crude enzyme extract obtained from these cells or its purified enzyme or a crude enzyme extract obtained from an animal organ such as a liver of poultry or swine or its purified enzyme is made to act on acylpolyamines in the sample from an organism such as urine. Thus, the polyamine is liberated and the procedure can be used as a pretreatment for the determination of polyamines. |
